1. Who we are
Easy Claim Refund ("we", "us", "our") is an independent consultancy providing financial fraud investigations and asset-tracing support. For the purposes of UK data protection law, we are the data controller for personal data submitted through this website and during the course of an engagement.
2. Information we collect
- Consultation form data: name, email address, country, mobile number, company or platform name, approximate amount in dispute, and any case details you choose to provide.
- Contact information: any information you send to us by email, telephone, or messaging applications.
- Case file data: documents, transaction records, communications, and supporting evidence provided during an engagement.
- Website analytics: aggregated, non-identifying information about how the site is used (pages viewed, approximate location, device type).
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and security logs collected for the purpose of protecting the site against abuse.
3. Lawful bases for processing
We rely on the following lawful bases under Article 6 UK GDPR:
- Legitimate interests — responding to enquiries, assessing cases, and operating our consultancy.
- Contract — performing services where an engagement letter is in place.
- Legal obligation — meeting record-keeping, anti–money-laundering, and tax requirements.
- Consent — for optional analytics or marketing cookies, which you can withdraw at any time.
4. How we use information
- To assess and respond to your enquiry or case submission.
- To communicate with you about your case and our services.
- To meet legal, regulatory, and compliance obligations applicable to our work.
- To improve the security and performance of this website.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that produces legal effects.
5. Sharing and disclosure
Personal data is shared only where strictly necessary, including: with specialists assigned to your case; with regulated professionals (such as instructed legal counsel) where you have authorised this; with service providers that host our infrastructure under written data-processing terms; and with competent authorities where required by law.
6. International transfers
Where personal data is transferred outside the United Kingdom, we rely on adequacy decisions, UK International Data Transfer Agreements, or equivalent safeguards.
7. Data retention
Enquiry submissions that do not progress to an engagement are retained for up to 24 months. Case files for active or completed engagements are retained for at least 6 years following the close of the matter, in line with applicable record-keeping and anti–money-laundering requirements. Backups are rotated on a defined schedule.
8. Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. To exercise any right, contact support@easyclaimrefund.net. You may also lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
9. Security
Submissions are transmitted over TLS, stored with role-based access controls, and protected by industry-standard administrative and technical safeguards. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we maintain measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data we hold.
10. Cookies
Our use of cookies is described in our Cookie Policy.
